Biography
Sheikh Dr. Al-Ashry Omran Hashim Abu Ayyub Al-Fazari was born in the village of Fazara, in the Maragha district of Sohag Governorate, Upper Egypt. He is known for his Salafi creed and methodology, and for his deep piety and asceticism, paired with a melodious voice and a precise recitation that combines authenticity with spiritual devotion.
He received his education at the Azhari Institute of Juhaina, then enrolled at the Faculty of Islamic Dawah in Cairo. He completed his postgraduate studies at Al-Azhar University, earning both his Master's and Doctorate degrees in Islamic Culture in 2011.
He holds the Ijazah in the Hafs 'an 'Asim recitation (with both madd and qasr) and the Shu'ba 'an 'Asim recitation. He currently serves as Imam and Khatib at Egypt's Ministry of Endowments and as Imam of Omar ibn Abd al-Aziz Mosque in Badr City.
